We fly from two locations in Milton Keynes - Hunters Farm Shop and David Lloyd Leisure. Please scroll down this page to see details of both launch sites.
Hunters Farm Shop
Our main MK launch site is at Hunters Farm Shop on the A5, ideally placed for fantastic views of the city & surrounding countryside. The city with its open green spaces, lakes, and millions of maturing trees and landscaping, looks unlike most other cities in the UK. The cityscape includes views of the Xscape (formally the Snowdrome) The National Bowl, Willen Lake, The Peace Pagoda, Gulliver’s Land, MK Stadium home of the Dons and maybe you’ll be able to look down on those famous concrete cows!
Of course these city sights are only half of the story as Hunters Farm Shop also looks south onto the unspoilt rural landscape of the Vale of Aylesbury and the meanders of the river Ouzel, or Stewkley, said to be the longest continuous village in England. We may drift along the Grand Union Canal or float over the Brickhills. To the East we can sail at treetop height over the wooded hills of Aspley Heath and climb to look down on the spectacular sight of Woburn Village, and Woburn Abbey & Safari Park. For an exciting fusion of the urban & rural, Hunters is a great location.
David Lloyd Leisure
Luton Airport lies to the South East of Milton Keynes and this means that if we have winds forecast from the North West our flight path will take us toward restricted airspace South East of the city. This is very rare, however in this event we move the launch site to David Lloyd Leisure, located near Willen Lake, and fly back towards Hunters Farm Shop.
